TACT updates over the air: new game modes without new hardware
Unlike fixed-function game props, TACT keeps improving after it's bought.

9 October 2026 — TACT devices install new versions over Wi-Fi. Owners choose Check for updates; TACT downloads the new version (about 2.5 MB), restarts and keeps every setting and stat. On a typical connection the whole update takes about a minute.
- New game modes and features reach devices already in the field.
- Built-in safety: if a new version fails to start, TACT goes back to the previous one by itself.
- USB backup: updates can also be installed from a browser on a computer.
Updates have already brought new game modes, multiplayer, the phone remote and full stats to TACT.

About TACT
TACT (Tactical Arena Control Tool) is a game device for airsoft skirmishes, milsim, paintball, Nerf and laser tag. One unit runs arm-and-disarm, domination, team deathmatch and more, each with rules you set, up to four link into one synchronised game over their own network with no Wi-Fi needed, and a phone or laptop shows every device live. Every game is recorded, and TACT installs new versions and missions over the air. More at tactgames.co.uk.
